Lexington, a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts was incorporated in 1713. It had a population of 34,454 in 2020. Lexington is known as the site of the first shots of the American Revolutionary War at the Battle of Lexington on April 19th, 1775. Lexington is 11 miles northwest of Boston. The town is proud of its excellent public transportation and public schools. Three schools were named National Blue Ribbon Schools in 2010, 2013, and 2019. Lexington High School won the U.S. Department of Energy National Science Bowl competition in 2012, 2017, and 2018.
